Some Other Season

There's a glory in the morning

When the sunrise meets the dew

That's like this perfect feeling

I have for you

And I could no more change

The way I feel

Than the seed could ever stop

Loving the field

And as the wind blows in this blue afternoon

            And the leaves fall from

            The old sweet gum

I will send my love to you

With a prayer for its return

            In some other season

I've loved from a distance

And worshiped from afar

That which I have only held

Here in my heart

But time will not alter

Nor distance ever dim

This love that I feel

Is without end

And as the wind blows in this blue afternoon

(Chorus)

                        And you just never know

Where the seeds of love will blow

                        There is no place

That's beyond the reach of love

            As the leaves fall from

            The old sweet gum

I will send my love to you

With a prayer for its return

            In some other season
