My Father's Son

            I am my Father's son

            A man I've never known

But they say that I'm a lot like him

And I am my Father's son

I heard he played that ol' guitar

And he was a farmer in the fields

I used to think that we won't miss

What we've never known

I was wrong

(Repeat lst Chorus )

When I was a kid I used to wonder

Where he was and if he thought of me

But now I don't think much about it...anymore

I just know

            I am my Father's son

And I'm not the only one

Sometimes it feels like going home

To think I am my Father's son

We don't all come in through the same door

It's left to fate how we return

                        But this I know

                        There's no mistakes

In these seeds that are sown

(Repeat 2nd Chorus)

            I am my Father's son

            I know I'm not alone

And it feels just like I'm going home

To think I am my Father's son

            My Father's son

            My Father's son...
