Long Gone Days

I found an old picture in the attic

That I hadn't seen for years

Memories filled my eyes with tears

It was the graduating class of '63

Lord I hope they reached their dreams

I wonder if they ever think of me

            And those long gone days

            Where they'll remain

            Always with me

            In long gone days

I never knew what became of you

After our last goodbye

My how the years roll by

I always thought that we would meet again someday

And I would spend my life with you

How was I to know we never would

            But in long gone days

            You will remain

            Always with me

            In those long gone days

                        Sometimes it's true

                        That we don't appreciate

The best things in our lives

                        Until they slip away

            Into long gone days

            You will remain

            Always with me

            In those long gone days

            Long gone days

            So long days

            You're always with me

            In those long gone days
