Last Goodbye

The road disappears into a sinking southern sun

That I follow without knowing where it leads

I'm like that river that only knows to run

That only knows to be free

Oh and you know I'll miss you when I go

But you'd best not wait for me

'Cause I'll be with the eagle when he flies

            Chasing my last goodbye

I'm  still searchin' for the stories to tell when I am old

When my feet walk away no more

I ain't gonna wonder about what might have been

When this story ends

Oh and you know I'll miss you when I go

But you'd best not wait for me

Cause I'll be with the eagle when he flies

            Chasing my last goodbye

                        Love ain't always holdin' on

                        Sometimes it's  lettin' go

                        And love is sometimes leavin'

                        And sometimes it's  comin' home

The road disappears into a sinking southern sun

That I follow without knowing where it leads

I'm like that river that only knows to run

That only knows to be free

(Chorus)
