Free World

You ever been out in the great wide open

When the wind sweeps across the plains

Or stood in the middle of an Illinois cornfield

And heard it whisper your name

Then you know how it feels to be

Living in the free world

I dip my hands into the Yellowstone

And feel it flow through me

It sends my spirit to the long ago

To the time of the wild and free

It's another day...another gift for you and me

Living in the free world

The mountain's high, and the valley's low

            There are rivers in between

And in my mind I can fly

            Cause I can dream

Lazy clouds drift overhead

Their masterpiece unfolds

They're sending images back to me

Filling me with hope

That the day will come when we'll all be

Living in the free world

(Chorus)

You ever been out in the great wide open

When the wind sweeps across the plains...
