Hand Me Down Yesterdays

My memory knows a man with a brand new store bought hat

On top of a worried self-made sad ol' smile

My yesterday's ain't so cold with a shirt on my shoulder

Made it through faded torn wadded up and folded

Tomorrow's not so blind to an eye of a sparrow

And I listen to her singing and hold her for a while

I hold her in my mind three four fimutes every time

I get warm as a baby layin' on my side

            Hand me down yesterdays

            Three four minutes every time

By all means not to forget Lord

            One earthly helpin' hand

A mountain or a mole hill treadin' wataer on a treadmill

We are travelin' in a circle never ending never dry

If I had to do it over I'd spend all my doin' countin'

By all means not to forget Lord one earthly helpin' hand

            Hand me down yesterdays

            Three four minutes every time

By all means not to forget Lord

            One earthly helpin' hand

By all means not to forget Lord

One earthly helpin' hand
