Your Eyes

Telephone numbers that I can't recall

Like the places pictured hanging on my wall

And a box upstairs

I've forgotten was there at all

And a pair of ribbons

That I've held on to

Though I've long forgotten why

But God I remember your eyes

            I'll always remember your eyes

And there was music

That I used to know

But I don't remember

How it used to go

And a place somewhere

Forgotten from years ago

            And a million faces

            With a million names

            All run together

            And are all the same

            And forgotten over time

                        But God I remember

                        Your eyes

                        I'll always remember

                        Your eyes
