It Just Ain't Fair

I've heard a million words of wisdom

Since I lost her love

They tell I could do much better

She wasn't good enough

They slap my back and they tell me

Pretty soon I won't even care

But all I know is I'm lonely

            And it just ain't fair

                                    It just ain't fair

                                    No matter what they say

                                    It just ain't fair

I'll never see it any other way

She was the only one at all

                                    And it just ain't fair

They say there's always someone willing

With a different name

And in the darkness of the moment

They say it's all the same

They slap my back and they tell me

There's a million more out there

But all I know is I'm lonely

            And it just ain't fair

                                    It just ain't fair

                                    No matter what they say

                                    It just ain't fair

I'll never see it any other way

She was the only one at all

                                    And it just ain't fair
